Historic Watertown WHS 100th Anniversary

histW-3-12-12-1Watertown High School is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding as a four year high school. The building was dedicated on September 6, 1911 for grades 1 thru 12. To coordinate a series of events scheduled for this year a committee of pas graduates and current faculty members has been formed. The activities will culminate with a catered banquet to be held on May 26, 2012 in the WHS gymnasium.

The committee set up a bank account beginning with a donation of $250.00 from Historic Watertown, Inc to be used to pay for the expenses incurred in promoting and organizing these events.

All past alumni, teachers and principals will be invited to attend the banquet along with a guest. Plans are also being considered to expand the event into a weekend of activities. We hope that we can make this a truly historic occasion that will be long remembered by all of those who participate. To do this we will need additional funding. We are asking for a small donation of $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $50.00 or $100.00.

All checks should be made to the order of Historic Watertown, 100 Year Celebration. Historic Watertown is a 5013c tax exempt organization therefore your donation will be tax deductible. The primary use for these funds will be to cover the expenses of the banquet such as complimentary tickets for special guests that we would like to invite such as the oldest graduates, oldest teachers and oldest principals.
